The past months have been rough for me, and especially it shows in the art part: I'm seriously behind in my sprite art and background editing, and as such I probably (high likely, actually) need to push my demo deadline a bit further. Not much though, because I'm really serious about getting the demo done as soon as possible even if it meant all CG pics are missing, hah. Sinfonia is a time management test, not a test to get a good demo done. It feels like it defeats the purpose of a demo but I don't mind, I just want to get something out, get some feedback and then return to the work. Sinfonia ended up becoming a way more ambitious project than I ever suspected or even wanted it to be, to be honest.
BUT I definitely have gotten things done! The demo script is done and has gotten through some edits already, for starters! I also have gotten Jonathan and Claude demo sprites done, as well as implemented in my test run game along with some other stuff
I guess in order to summarize the work I have done here is some stats:
Writing - 100%
Sprites - 2/7 done (rip... but at least I have 7/7 character sprite sketches done)
Backgrounds - 20% (but these are not too much of a work once I start since I mainly use stock photos)
Overall game layout - 60%
Music - 50%
Demo will have less sprites than the full game, mostly bc I don't have the time and resources to do them all right now. Mainly it's the teachers who are missing sprites now, but I really want to give sprites to a lot of side characters too, hehe.
Sprites are my biggest concern right now, those are definitely the hardest and most unpleasant part for me personally. But once I get those done I can start adding my script to the game itself and from there on out it's going to be much easier and faster, although definitely more monotonous.
I'm really bad at saying thank you, but all the nice comments, art and other support really make me happy and I have teared up more than once over you guys being nice and supportive. So thank you ;;;
