But I have some new projects I'm working on and I'm very determined to get them done during upcoming nanowrimos and other occassions!
The protagonists are Philip and Noë, young students from the church who get lost on their way to another town's night mass in church. Instead they find themselves from a peculiar church and soon realize everyone but them is either dead or some sort of otherworldly creature. Noë and Philip can't let the deceased know they are still alive as they don't know what they would do if they found out. They also have to escape before the mass ends or they will never get out of the church again.
The game has two main routes with differing stories and numerous other kind of ends (mostly neutral ends and bad ends). I have been writing the script during nanowrimo and I have gotten things together quite nicely. I have the intro route already done and probably half of route number 1. Route number 2 is still in progress though.
Deadline for this visual novel is December 25th (2016) so I'm really, really trying to get this one done even if it was a rushed product.
Its a story of Johan (who is usually referred to with his second name, Augustus), a young university student returning from German back to Finland. On his very first day of summer vacation the villagers find a small cherub from the church and in the end it's up to Augustus to help the small creature out. From there on he starts taking care of the small boy whom he calls Mikael (or Mika for short) and together with other villagers he starts teaching him the language and other things Mika needs in order to settle down in the village. However, as Mika doesn't remember anything about his previous life, a lot of things are shrouded in a mystery. And with both demons and scientists trying to get their hands on the small angel, Augustus and his friends Miria and Tomas have their hands full of all sort of trouble and shenanigans.
As this project was something that was not supposed to continue, I haven't thought it out 100% properly. I do have 4 chapters written down though and some random scenes and I have a general idea of what I want to do, but I need to work on the main built of this story a bit more. However, writing in my own language is surprisingly fun and inspiring so I'm sure I will steadily continue writing this project!
This project doesn't have any deadline.
Mapmaker is a man who has lived his whole live in a large city where he draws maps. However, he dreams of seeing the world not only on paper but with his own two eyes. He was born with a skin condition that makes half of his face and his left arm white and he has always been treated with some distrust and suspicion as people believed him to be unpredictable (due the fact his skin pattern looks like he is somehow made of two people).
I want to write this work as a part of July's camp nanowrimo. However, I will probably just put 30,000 words as my goal and see how much that is in the actual story. It would be neat if I could finish one side of the story during that month but I somehow doubt it.
