Nirve

Nirve is a young water dragon from the World X. He got lost from his group, attacked by sharks and was eventually washed to the shore where he got stuck in rocks. He was saved by a village girl who rescued him and nursed him back to help. Suffering from amnesia, Nirve doesn't know how to return to his home and has tried settling on living on land. He can appear somewhat apathetic but is very loving when he gets attached to someone. He is a relative to Lucien. AppearanceAs water dragon, Nirve is still very small: he is scrawny and only 2,5 - 3m long. His scales are two shades of blue with purple-ish tone and and he has scales on his hands, shoulders, face, ears, back and on his lower body starting from his waist. Nirve has red coloured scales on his hands, his fin bones and some of their tips and his tail. He also has three red spikes coming out of his face's both sides, right beneath his sharp and somewhat long ears. He has multiple fins: one on his back, one set on both sides of his waist, on his dragon body and on the top of his tail. His dragon lower body resembles a serpent and he has numerous blue jewels permanently stuck on his body, most noticeably his lower body but also his hands.
He has light blue hair with two purple-ish blue streaks the same colour as his body's base colour. His human skin is pale, almost sickly so, and his eyes are light blue, big but slightly narrowed and he has cross shaped pupils. His eyelashes are long, most noticeably his lower eyelashes near the corners of his eyes. Nirve's teeth are sharp and somewhat crooked and his hands also have sharp nails. In his human form, Nirve is around 140cm tall and has a pair of human legs. His fins disappear but he has scales on his hands, face, ears and his back, and his dragon tail usually grows from his tailbone soon after the transformation. He remains scrawny and overall very small and he is very light, looking like a young child. |

Personality
Nirve suffers from both amnesia and memory problems. He has no idea of where he comes from or how he ended up where he is now, and he sometimes has difficulties recalling things even from the near past. Although Nirve doesn’t let his difficulties stop him from enjoying his life as it is now, he often appears to be confused and/or scared of what is happening around him. His memory forces him to strongly depend on those who he trusts and once he learns to trust you, his love is deep and unconditional.
Although he is very timid and doesn’t speak much unless asked (or he is comfortable with the person speaking), Nirve is a very gentle and loving boy who doesn’t want to see his friends sad. He has a habit of trying to cheer others up on his own ways, such as bringing junk from the bottom of the sea as a gift. He can appear a little disinterested and cold at first but spending some time with him usually makes him relax.
Nirve knows very little of the ways of creatures of land and often finds very common things incredibly fascinating. He can spend hours playing around with a coffee mill, for example. The dragon is also very interested in clocks and what is inside them and he would more than gladly open every clock he just can lay his hands on. Nirve sometimes remarks he would like to become a clockmaker, seemingly unaware of how his adult self will most likely be incapable of working with them.
Much like dragons on land, water dragons also like shining objects including but not limited to jewellery, shiny rocks, glass shards and house keys. Nirve doesn’t, however, show much interest in making his own hoard but this might be due to his young age or the lack of other dragons showing him their ways.
Despite the way he looks and often acts, Nirve is already 18 years old. Although people suggest Nirve is still very childlike due to water dragons growing slower than humans, the real reason is because Nirve chooses to act the way he does - or at least for most of the time. While he doesn’t really understand he is going to grow up into a human hunting predator, Nirve does know him growing up means something bad. He wishes he could just stay as a child and not become an adult at all.
While Nirve is actually very harmless especially now, many can’t help but feel there is something lurking underneath that childish demeanour. What is true is that Nirve actually understands more than he gives out and he is clearly restraining himself to some extent. His puberty also kicking in, it’s hard to tell how Nirve will develop from here on out

- His amnesia and memory problems are most likely due to a damage to his head. Some also suggest his difficulties with remembering things might be because he subconsciously wants to do so.
- Although Nirve does require more food than a normal human would, it’s still nowhere near to what he would require as an adult. Thus, his dragon instincts are not wired for proper hunting yet and he can survive with fish and sometimes with seaweed.
- He can also eat regular food since he is still young but he requires meat and has already started to develop disgust towards vegetables. The boy thinks they have started tasting more and more awful but he continues eating them, knowing he can’t yet hunt as much fish he would require.
- Can assume a form more human-like (see: legs) with a potion sold by a witch. While Nirve does use it quite often, he still prefers his own form. Walking hurts his feet and he feels weird wearing clothes (because obviously nobody is going to let Nirve walk around naked when looking more like human)
- Is able to breathe both on land and underwater.
- Despite his long tail, he is actually very light. At least still
